Backup power supply plays an imperative role in all aspects of modern life. Whether you're camping in the open, on a RV touring journey, or enthusiastic about exploring further to the wilderness, it is bound to spare you a lot of troubles and help you live more comfortably.

Housing a huge amount of electric power in an internal battery, portable power stations can keep your electronic devices charged up and running for hours. Knowing the ways to charge a portable power station is the key factor to ensure you can obtain a good experience of use.

In this article will be discussing four primary ways to charge a rechargeable power station. However, that doesn't mean all of the power stations can be juiced up via these ways. Whether the way is applicable to your device or not depends on the specific specifications of the device.

AC charging
Using an electrical AC wall outlet is the fastest and most common way to charge a backup power station. You just need to simply connect the charger to the input port and plug the power station into the wall socket. Most power stations nowadays come with a LCD display showing the current battery level, making it easy for you to  know when the station is fully charged and to timely unplug it from the socket.

Solar charging
Some portable battery generators on the market can hook up to solar panels to capture sun's energy and convert that into useable electricity. That's a quite cost-effective way for charging. For the operation, just place the solar panels directly under the sun and plug them into your device. When the station charges fully, simply remove the solar panels from it and it's ready for use. With capability to charge via sunlight, the power station ensures you can have access to uninterrupted power supply.

Car charging
One innovative way to charge a portable power station is car charging, through connection to the cigarette lighter socket. When the station is fully charged, you can then use it to charge up your smartphone and run some small appliances. That's particularly wonderful for a long road trip.

EV station charging
Less know that some battery backup power stations can be charged via EV station. When you're on the road, you can simply take the station out and plug it into an EV station for charging, then take it back to your car for extended use. That not only avoids power consumption of your car, but brings greater convenience and possibilities to your road journey.
